Purpose

LightSource Healing Arts was created to offer a quieter way of working with the body.

The body holds areas of tension, injury, and protection that do not resolve through force. When listened to carefully, these patterns can begin to release, allowing the body to settle and reorganize naturally.

My work supports that process.

Meet Josh

Josh Thomas
Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist #16694

Welcome. I'm really glad you're here.

I began teaching yoga in 2012 following a few years of personal practice. That was my first real exposure to how much the body holds, and it led me to begin studying bodywork.

I went to massage school in 2016 and started working with clients soon after. Since then, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients and conditions, refining a gentle and precise approach centered on supporting the nervous system.

Over time, my work became simpler and more focused. I found that lasting change didn’t come from trying to fix the body, but from listening closely and allowing the body to respond in its own time.

Sessions are unhurried and guided by what the body is ready to do.

Outside of work, I’m a husband and dad. Life with my wife and kids keeps me grounded and reminds me daily that healing begins in safety, connection, and presence.

Professional Focus

My work is centered on CranioSacral Therapy, which forms the foundation of my practice.

It’s a gentle approach that works with the nervous system and deeper layers of the body. As the nervous system settles, areas of tension begin to release. Soft tissues movement improves, and the body begins to feel more at ease.

This happens gradually, and at the pace the body can support.

Journey

My early training included structural and therapeutic bodywork. That foundation helped me understand the body mechanically and anatomically.

Over time, I was drawn toward work that addressed the nervous system more directly. CranioSacral Therapy became the center of my practice because of its depth and its ability to support lasting change without force.

I continue to refine this work through ongoing study and hands-on experience.
